Showcase Your Passions in Your Home With These 6 Ideas

Whether you’re a painter, collector, or traveler, you can use your items in your house for decoration. Reflect on the times you spent traveling or the hours you’ve spent creating a masterpiece. Showcase your passions in your home with these six ideas.
1. Keep Items You Use Regularly in Sight
· Show off your hobbies by keeping your paintbrush and canvas out in the open or your instrument close by.
· Decrease the chances of your items being scratched or broken when you store them in the back of your closet. Instead, have them shine out in the open.
2. Show Off Your Creativity
· Painting and photography are great talents to utilize in your home for decoration.
· Making clay mugs is perfect for having coffee and tea.
· Woodworking can be used for a side table, to hold utensils, or a vase for flowers.
3. Display Your Collection
· Are you a collector? Display your collection on a bookshelf or in a photo book if you collect paper memorabilia.
· There’s no point in collecting knickknacks if they aren’t being used for a purpose in your home or somewhere else that’s special to you.
· Collecting items is a good way to start a conversation when you have guests over.
4. Use Seasonal Equipment for Décor
· Skier or snowboarder? Display these items on your wall as artwork during the off-season.
· Similarly, during the colder months, replace your ski’s with your paddleboard or canoe. If you can’t fit the entire item on the wall, you can at least hang the paddles.
5. Use Items to Inspire You
· Lacking the energy to go workout? Put your sports trophies, medals, marathon registration number, or any other related item by the front door or where your running shoes are.
· Wanting to cook more often? Take out your recipe book or print off recipes you hope to cook and place them on your kitchen counter.
6. Create a Room Theme
· If you want your room to feel earthy, put your plants next to your bed and hang up photos taken outside or of nature.
· Want a bright and cheery room? Choose paintings that are bold and draw attention. Pick vibrant décor to go along with the mood of the room.
Create each room with a purpose. Showcasing your passions throughout your house can spark conversation, make you feel at ease, and remind you of what you enjoy doing.
